Assemblyman Anthony Pescetti Honored as Champion of Adoptee Rights
On Sunday, November 17, 2002, STAR (Sacramento Triad for Adoptee Rights) hosted a dinner and appreciation ceremony to honor Assemblyman Anthony Pescetti for his role in authoring and fighting for California Assembly Bill 1349. This bill, AB1349, would have given adult adoptees the same rights as non-adopted persons by issuing, upon request, a certified copy of his or her own original birth certificate. This event was held at the Delta King in Sacramento, California.
